Second time I have used Top 2 Bottom Carpentry Ltd, after initially neighbours recommended them. Prompt quote, advice and great job done in the time stated. Good communication. Always thoughtful and they went out of their way to do extra bits to assist me as in a storm a fallen tree had collapsed a fence. Job left tidy and the trees and old fencing removed.

Are you a Licensed Building Practitioner?
Yes. Graham is a Licensed Building Practitioner and NZQA Level 4 certified, with a four-and-a-half-year carpentry and joinery apprenticeship behind him. That matters for restricted building work such as additions, structural changes and new builds, because it means the work can be signed off and a Record of Work issued.
What areas do you cover for building work?
Top 2 Bottom is based on the Hibiscus Coast and works throughout Orewa, Whangaparāoa, Silverdale, Millwater, Red Beach, Stanmore Bay, Army Bay and Gulf Harbour. Larger residential and commercial jobs are taken on further south through the North Shore and into Auckland.
Do you take on both residential and commercial building work?
Yes. Most work is residential, covering renovations, additions, new builds, decks and repairs, but shop and office fitouts are a regular part of the year and commercial clients often keep us on for ongoing maintenance.
Will Graham be the one doing the work?
Yes. The person who quotes your job is the person on site. You will not get a project manager and a different subcontractor each week, and you always know who to ring.
